Life Update: I Got a New Job! 🎉

Hi friends!

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind lately, and I finally have some exciting news to share—I started a new job yesterday!

If you’ve been following along, you know I recently moved to Philadelphia and have been deep in the job-hunting trenches. It wasn’t easy—way too many applications later, a lot of persistence (and even more caffeine), I finally landed a position I’m genuinely excited about.

I’m now working as a receptionist and assistant at a salon about 20 minutes away from our apartment. So far, it’s been a really positive experience. The team has been super welcoming, and honestly, it just feels good to have some structure back in my days. There’s something comforting about getting dressed, commuting, and having a daily routine again.

Other Updates

 Media I’ve Consumed

Overcompensating
Wow. This show was fantastic. I binged it in two days, immediately rewatched it, and made Colby join me. No notes—10/10.

The Better Sister
A solid thriller that kept me interested, though I found parts of it a little predictable. Still worth the watch. 8/10.

The Summer I Turned Pretty
Okay yes, I’m late to the party—but I actually really liked it. Belly drives me a little crazy, but I’m excited for the new season. 8/10.
(If you’ve read the books—are they worth it? Let me know!)

Currently Watching

  • Love Island (of course)

  • Rewatching Shrinking with Colby

 Recent Reads

(3 stars and up only! I’m picky with 5 stars, so don’t take the ratings too seriously—if it’s here, I liked it.)

The Conditions of Will – Jessa Hastings
Ohmygod. That’s really all I have to say. Jessa’s writing is stunning. This book was flawless.
5/5 on Goodreads.

Whisky Business – Elliot Fletcher (The Macabe Brothers)
A smutty, easy small-town enemies-to-lovers romance with a grumpy guy you’ll love. 4/5 stars.

Things We Never Got Over – Lucy Score (Knockemout Series)
I’ve avoided this for two years until a TikTok changed my mind. The Goodreads reviews are harsh, but I actually liked it. 3.8/5 (gave it 3 on Goodreads).

Heartless – Elsie Silver (Chestnut Springs)
These books are fun smut reads. I hate the cliché third-act breakup (why is it always there?!), but this one made me blush like an idiot. 4.7 ( gave it a 4 on Goodreads)

Currently finishing: Powerless ( Chestnut Springs)

Thanks for being part of my journey. I’m so excited to see where this new chapter takes me. More updates soon 💛
